front x porro

Swedish design team Front always tend to catch my eye with their designs. They have a certain familiarity and harmony about their work.

A recent collaboration with Italian company Porro has resulted in this storage/table

I know there is similar out there, but this has a certain elegance and the correct tension, maybe slightly on the edge, pushed to the absolute limit.

See more on Design Boom, these women have design talent and beauty - hoorah!

From Norwegian Prototype to prize

In London Design week 2009, 10 designers of Norwegian heritage exhibited in a gallery in Brick Lane (Norwegian Prototypes)

Yoyo showcased ‘Is that Plastic Too?’ - due to be launched in the next month or two (join our mailing list or rss feeds to find out as soon as it goes to press!)

Amy Hunting displayed her Blockshelf, a wonderfully simple and resourceful shelving system. We bumped into Amy at Gareth Neal’s P.V in Redchurch St last night, having just returned from Stockholm and scooped the Green Furniture Award 2010 at the Stockholm Furniture Fair - congratulations!

If you could... collaborative show on the for the next week

Went to the private view last night, it was absolutely rammed so will return in the next week to have another look…

….go see for yourself and make sure you pop into the With Associates & Anthony Dickens collaborative piece and be part of ‘the time’
